The t-shirt and skinny jeans sounds fine. College is different than highschool as far as what people wear. The thing about college is there are people of all ages there. It's not like highschool where everybody in the class is within a year or two of each other. You will see people your age all the way up to your grandmother's age there. As a result people generally wear whatever they are comfortable in. Don't go looking crispy brand new like you just cut the tags on your clothes that morning. People dress the way they want to and wear what hey like. Just be yourself. There are a lot more people in college then in high school and its impossible to try and be like everyone else since everybody is so different. Also, people don't judge you like they do in high school because college students are only really focused on themselves and could care less about what you are wearing...(unless you go in a clown suit or something) lol then that is different. Just wear whatever you think looks good on you and makes you feel comfortable. Yes a t shirt and jeans sounds like a good thing to wear. You dont want to wear anything too formal as you will look over dressed but in the same way for your first day i wouldnt wear something scruffy as you want to make a good first impression.
